The new SMEC SL 4500 BLY from SMEC strengthens our machinery fleet and expands our machining capabilities for longer components between two and three meters.

With a machining diameter of up to 620 mm and a turning length of up to 3,000 mm, it is the perfect addition to our existing equipment. One of its many advantages is that the SMEC machine also operates with a CNC control system from Siemens (SINUMERIK 828D), making it fully compatible with our current machines. This eliminates long training periods and allows us to make optimal use of our team’s expertise.

Thanks to its driven tools, the machine enables not only turning operations but also milling processes, reducing additional setup costs. The overall package is completed by NC-controlled steady rests, an automatic sliding door, and a temperature-controlled coolant system. The consistently stable temperatures ensure highly precise and reproducible results for our customers.

Particularly noteworthy are its high energy efficiency and state-of-the-art technologies, which help reduce both CO₂ emissions and overall energy consumption
