Adding hardened and hard-chrome-plated piston rods to the product range has proven to be an unqualified success.
Demand for piston rods has increased significantly, and we have continued to optimise our production processes. Handling induction hardening in house allows us to provide a variety of surface hardnesses and surface hardness depths, while BüMi’s efficient network of steel suppliers and hard chrome providers ensures top-quality results and fast production.
This enables the company to fulfil virtually any request in respect of:
- materials (must be compatible with induction hardening)
- dimensions (including intermediate dimensions)
- tolerances (freely selectable up to IT5)
including going above and beyond the relevant standards.
Needless to say, BüMi’s wide range of machining services allows us to manufacture entire runs of piston rods to be supplied under framework agreements in precisely the right quantities and in line with requirements.
